Michigan Republican Rep. Lisa McClain posted photos of Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett cutting in front of wheelchair bound passengers boarding a flight.
The incident happened at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport over the weekend. McClain posted, "SPOTTED: Jasmine Crockett with a taxpayer-funded police escort, cutting everyone in line - even making DISABLED people wait." McClain added, "Nothing to see here, just the next leader of the Democrats, abusing her power!"
The New York Post reported Crockett was taking a flight to Washington, D.C. on Sunday from Atlanta when the incident happened.
Crockett has been getting media attention for her verbal attacks against Republicans. She came under fire in March after referencing Texas Governor Greg Abbott as "Gov. Hot Wheels." Abbott uses a wheelchair.
The remark was swiftly rebuked by Emily Ladau, a disability rights advocate and author. She told Politico, "If the Democrats want to be as inclusive as they claim they do and ensure that people with disabilities are actually recognized as being welcome under their political umbrella, then you have to be thoughtful about your words."
In January, South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace suggested to Rep. Crockett to “take it outside” after Crockett called Mace a “child” during a House committee meeting.
