Dershowitz: Nobody Knows If Trump Can Pardon Himself

(Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now")

By    |   Monday, 04 June 2018 07:14 PM EDT

The answer to whether President Donald Trump can issue a pardon for himself is unclear because it is not in the Constitution and it has never been debated, attorney and law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV.

Dershowitz appeared on Monday's "Newsmax Now" and was asked about the subject. Hours earlier, Trump tweeted he had the right to pardon himself.
