Virus Crackdown Risks Longterm Constitutional Damage, Experts Warn

Stay-at-home orders, state and local mandates, business shut-downs, and orders forbidding gatherings at churches and synagogues are all raising alarms with defenders of the Constitution.

While few question the importance of keeping people safe while the virus rages, civil libertarians are increasingly nervous that the Bill of Rights is getting short shrift in the process, just as it did after 9/11.
