The Biden administration has announced an endeavor to create a seaport in Gaza for a more efficient transfer of humanitarian supplies – but it comes at a cost.
The port idea, if President Joe Biden is seriously concerned about getting humanitarian aid into Gaza, does make some sense. The airdrop spectacles into Gaza also were very expensive. And while they may have been good fodder for media outlets, airdrops can be quite dangerous and have the potential to create a violent, inhumane situation in which the strongest beat the weaker to control the aid.
