Bo Dietl: 'Suck It Up,' Haspel Didn't 'Want to Torture' People

Ex-New York City police detective Bo Dietl discounted criticism of CIA director nominee Gina Haspel's leadership of a post-9/11 CIA program that used torture tactics on terror suspects, saying her priority was to protect the nation.

In remarks on Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now," Dietl said, "I was down there at 9/11."  "Things were done then" that were not questioned because of the terrorist threat.
