Retired Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden, the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA), tells Newsmax in an exclusive interview that the possible involvement of Saudi officials in the Istanbul killing of journalist-activist Jamal Khashoggi fits into a broader pattern of recent Saudi behavior that worries U.S. leaders.

He says the larger pattern includes “...what the Kingdom did [diplomatic expulsion] to the Canadians, the extra-judicial roundup and shaking down of scores of princes, the jailing of political activists, the kidnapping of the Lebanese prime ministers. And I could throw in the conduct of the war in Yemen as well."
