(Newsmax TV's "The Howie Carr Show")

Democrats need to start bringing ideas to the negotiating table to work with the Trump administration on shoring up the southern border and ending the government shutdown, Vice President Mike Pence told Newsmax TV.

During an appearance on "The Howie Carr Show," Pence said President Donald Trump is not caving on his demand for a border wall, a point of contention among many Democrats. But he said there is "common ground" between both sides that needs to be explored.
