America’s self-image is on the election ballot this fall, former Democratic campaign strategist Dick Morris told Newsmax TV on Tuesday, one of a racist country built on slavery against a nation of tremendous opportunity that people aspire to from around the globe.

Morris was comparing the tone and perception of last week’s Democratic National Convention that selected former senator and Vice President Joe Biden as its presidential nominee, and Monday’s opening night of the Republican National Convention.
