After a year without overt activity that came amid reports the isolated nation was completely locked down due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kim Jong Un’s regime suddenly launched two short-range cruise missiles during tests in late March. They were followed, just days later, by a pair of short-range ballistic missiles fired into the sea from North Korea's South Hamgyong Province on the country’s east coast.
