The U.S. military is launching a massive, global initiative to protect soldiers stationed overseas from the fast-spreading Covid-19 coronavirus.

With more than 80,000 confirmed cases and over 2,700 deaths in 34 countries around the world, military brass have taken immediate precautionary measures in areas where instances of the illness are skyrocketing, such as Italy and South Korea.
