New Law Would Prevent Trump's Electoral College Victory

Colorado is set to join 12 other states that are pushing for a change in Electoral College voting that would have kept Donald J. Trump from winning the presidency in 2016.

The new Colorado law automatically commits a state’s Electoral College votes to whichever candidate wins the national popular vote -- regardless of how voters in the state actually cast their ballots for the winning candidate.
