People Recovered From COVID-19 Facing Another Dangerous Condition

Those infected by coronavirus are requiring more than mere drug and oxygen therapy. Physical and psychological therapy may also come into the picture as patients that have been "cured" from the disease are reporting trouble performing even the simplest of motor and cognitive skills and may even suffer from psychiatric damage.

The extent of the health disorders the patients experience is directly related to the amount of time they spend immobile, especially on a ventilator in the intensive care unit. It's called post-intensive care syndrome, or PICS.
