As Democrats and the media scramble to prepare for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees Wednesday, there are growing indications the administration considers it a significant threat to the Trump presidency.
The latest signal came Monday evening, as the Justice Department sent correspondence to Mueller advising him to keep his testimony within the bounds of his 448-page report that found no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion in 2016.
