Space Station 'Vulnerable' If US-Russia Conflict Escalates

If tensions between the U.S. and Russia ever were to escalate into a ground war, space experts say the plot of the new film "I.S.S." – in which astronauts for both nations receive orders to take control of the International Space Station by any means necessary – could become more than just science fiction.

While the International Space Station is a collaboration between the U.S., Russia, Japan, Europe, and Canada and is meant to function as an orbiting lab to conduct scientific research, the symbol of diplomacy could swiftly shift to a battleground during a conflict.
