House Republican Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., decried the debate as to whether schools should reopen in the fall, telling Newsmax TV on Monday that officials know it can be done safely despite novel coronavirus fears and they need to stop rationalizing keeping them closed.
"The focus has to be not on whether or not you can do it, but we know it can be done safely; now let's go work through it and get it done," Scalise told "Spicer & Co." "No more excuses."
