A trio of recent elections in Argentina, the Netherlands, and – most crucially – Taiwan have registered victories for populism and democracy and significant defeats for globalism and the Chinese Communist Party.

In the Taiwan election on Jan. 13, Vice President Lai Ching-te, also known as William Lai, won an unprecedented third term at the helm for one party in Taiwan, the Democratic Progressive Party, or the Green Party.
