Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent surprise visit to a Baltic enclave between Lithuania and Poland was designed to scare the global audience and pressure politicians worldwide to withdraw their support for Ukraine, geopolitical analysts say.

Putin's visit to Kaliningrad raised alarms that the strategic location of the province, which is home to Russia's Baltic Fleet, could signal the Kremlin has potential new targets.
