President Donald Trump officially believes the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape is real despite a report over the weekend that claimed he has told people the tape was a fake.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked about the topic during Monday's press briefing.
"The president addressed this," she said. "This was litigated and certainly answered during the election by the overwhelming support for the president and the fact that he's sitting here in the Oval Office today. He made his position on that clear at that time, as have the American people in support of him."
On the tape that was made public in October 2016, Trump could be heard bragging about inappropriately touching and grabbing women during a conversation with former "Access Hollywood" co-host Billy Bush.
The New York Times reported Saturday that Trump has told multiple people the tape was not real.
"Like I just said, the president hasn't changed his position," Sanders said. "I think if anything that the president questions, it's the media's reporting on that accuracy."
