Adam Schiff: Trump 'Not in Position' to Criticize Cursing

President Donald Trump has no place to criticize the first-year House member who said "impeach the motherf—," according to Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

"I'm in a unique position to say this, considering the president made my name into a profanity," Schiff told CNN's "State of the Union." "This president is not in a position to talk about the use of language. Nobody has done more to debase the political sphere, the public square, than Donald Trump."

President Trump, who once called Rep. Schiff "little Adam Schitt," also called the comments of newly sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., "disgraceful."

The first Palestinian-American woman to be elected to Congress had vowed for her Democratic majority to "go in and impeach the motherf—."

Despite failing to rebuke the language, Rep. Schiff, a frequent Trump antagonist in the House, did acknowledge impeachment should not be considered until special counsel Robert Mueller's investigative report is filed.

Mueller has recently been granted a six-month extension for his grand jury, a sign more indictments might be sought, according to Schiff.
