Americans for Prosperity is spending $4.5 million for an ad pushing three Democrats, who are up for re-election in 2018, to support the Republican tax reform plan, The Hill reports.

The conservative advocacy group is backed by billionaire Republican donors Charles and David Koch. The ads target Democratic Sens. Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and Joe Donnelly of Indiana.

The three senators are up for re-election in 2018 in states President Donald Trump won last year, the Hill noted.

"People are sick of politics," a woman says in the 30-second ad. "I am to. But fixing our broken tax system isn't about politics — it's about helping people. It means the powerful, the well-connected, politicians — they'll stop benefiting from a rigged system. It means everyday Americans will have more to spend on what's important to them. That's what tax reform will do. So, what's stopping us?"

The ad ends with identifying the senators and claiming they are standing in the way.

A spokesperson for AFP said the ads are designed to build support for tax reform, NBC News reported.

"The American people are hungry for results, and achieving tax reform may be the last big opportunity this year," Levi Russell, AFP's director of public affairs, said. "We're urging senators to unify around the tax reform framework because it's good policy, but it's also good politics. There will be a lot of very unhappy folks in Missouri, Indiana, and Wisconsin if their senator is seen as protecting a rigged system and higher rates."
