Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., criticized President Joe Biden's foreign policy during an appearance Monday on Newsmax, calling it a "train wreck" and a "devastating failure" that has weakened America on the global stage.
Biden claimed that his administration has improved America's standing in the world.
"For that to be true, President [-elect Donald] Trump would have to already be inaugurated, I think," Clyde said on "The Chris Salcedo Show." "There's no way in the world that Joe Biden can stand up to those remarks and have those be true."
Clyde argued that Trump, not Biden, had strengthened America's global position during his term.
"President Trump is the one who made America stronger, not Joe Biden. President Trump was the one who reinforced our allies and made them come to the table and increase the power of NATO. It certainly was not Biden," he stated.
He highlighted Trump's record of avoiding new military conflicts during his presidency and contrasted that with Biden's handling of international crises.
"President Trump was the one who had no new wars during his presidency," Clyde said. "President Biden has been an absolute abysmal failure. Whether it's in Ukraine, whether it's in Israel, or whether it's in Iran, [or] Afghanistan, it has all been an absolute devastating failure for America."
"His foreign policies are a train wreck," he declared.
Clyde echoed sentiments shared by then-Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, describing Biden's leadership as akin to a "dumpster fire."
