A crowd of Trump supporters chanted "Fox News sucks!" outside the Maricopa County, Arizona, Election Center late Wednesday in response to the network's controversial decision to declare Democrat Joe Biden the winner in Arizona.
As ballots from the presidential election continue to be counted, including in Arizona, backers of President Donald Trump are venting their frustration with Fox — which called the Grand Canyon State for Biden on election night, even though the race appeared tight. Most news networks have yet to declare a winner there.
During a live MSNBC report Wednesday night, the crowd could be heard expressing their displeasure with Fox, Newsweek noted.
The reporter said the crowd was chanting "Count that vote! Count that vote!" He also said poll workers leaving at the end of their shift "have to be escorted out by armed sheriff's deputies."
Near the end of the clip, the crowd started chanting, "Fox News sucks! Fox News sucks!"
In another clip from outside the elections office posted by a Twitter user, the crowd could heard chanting, "Shame on Fox! Shame on Fox!"
Many Trump supporters, including those in the White House, switched off Fox News on Election night and turned to Newsmax TV for coverage as polls were closing and results were being reported. The pushback against Fox began after the Arizona call.
