The three pivotal battleground states Democrats look to wrest control from President Donald Trump – Florida, Arizona, and Michigan – are feeding favorable numbers for Joe Biden in the latest CNN polls.
Trump won those critical states in 2016, but Biden is leading among adults, registered voters, and likely voters in each of them, according to CNN.

The leading factors for Trump's deficits are related to his poor job approval ratings, handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and racial unrest. The rise in COVID-19 positives in Florida and Arizona this summer have been dragging the president's numbers down, per CNN.
Also, as CNN noted, public safety as Trump doubles down on his law-and-order platform has done little to reduce Biden's support.
The economy, once a winning issue for the president, also does not do enough to move the needle away from Biden's campaign, per CNN.
The CNN polls were conducted by SSRS from July 18-24 in Arizona (1,002 adults and 873 registered voters), Florida (1,003 adults, 927 registered voters), and Michigan (1,005 adults and 880 registered voters). All polls have a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percentage points.
