Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska is questioning whether President Donald Trump is recanting his oath of office after repeated attacks on the press.

Sasse's comments came in a tweet on Wednesday night:

Trump said on Wednesday that it is "disgusting the press is able to write whatever it wants to write," The Hill noted. He also had attacked an NBC News report during the day, calling it "fake news."

Trump has a contentious relationship with news outlets and has frequently singled out what he perceives to be partisan coverage, according to The Hill.
