Data for Progress Poll: Sanders Leads Nevada by 19 Percentage Points

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., leads the Democratic field for president in Nevada, which holds its caucus on Saturday, by 19 percentage points, according to a poll by the progress pollster Data for Progress, The Hill reports.

According to the poll, these are the latest results:

  • Sanders: 35%
  • Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.: 16%
  • Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg: 15%
  • Former Vice President Joe Biden: 14%
  • Philanthropist Tom Steyer: 10%
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.: 9%

Sanders had the most support among voters under age 45 at 64%, and Hispanic voters who back him at 66%, according to the poll. No other candidate had double-digit support from Hispanics.

Sanders also had the highest net favorability rate in the poll with 38%. A total of 68% see him favorably and 30% view him unfavorably.

Warren was second with a 35% net favorability rate.

The poll surveyed 766 likely caucus goers between Feb. 12 and 15 and has a margin of error is 3.4 percentage points.
