Former Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that Americans fearful about their healthcare coverage could "breathe a sigh of relief" after House Republicans scrapped a vote on their plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Biden posted a tweet after the Speaker Paul Ryan pulled the American Health Care Act from the floor:

President Donald Trump suggested that Ryan pull the legislation after more Republicans lined up behind conservatives and other GOP factions who balked at AHCA.

Trump also blamed Democrats for not supporting the bill — and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said his party would be willing to work with the White House as long as Republicans abandon their longstanding pledge to repeal Obamacare.
