Likely Pennsylvania voters are showing more support for former Vice President Joe Biden than they are for President Donald Trump, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday indicates Biden has an 8-point lead over President Donald Trump in the Keystone State.
Poll results show:
- 52% of Pennsylvania voters say they back Biden for president.
- 44% of Pennsylvania voters say they plan to reelect Trump.
- 94% of Pennsylvania voters say their mind is made up on who they are voting for.
- 54% of Pennsylvania voters say they don’t approve of the job Trump is doing.
- 54% of Pennsylvania voters say they don’t like how the president is handling the coronavirus pandemic.
- 52% of Pennsylvania voters say they approve of how Trump is handling the economy.
- 46% of Pennsylvania voters say they view Biden favorably.
- 55% of Pennsylvania voters say they view Trump unfavorably.
Pennsylvania is considered a battleground state in the upcoming November election. Trump won the state in 2016 by about 44,000 votes, which is less than 1 point, according to The Hill. Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The poll surveyed 1,107 likely voters in Pennsylvania between Aug. 28-Sept. 1. It has a margin of sampling error of +/-3 percentage points.
