Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch is even "more extreme" than the late Antonin Scalia, and at age 49 could remain in the court for decades, interim Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile warned Saturday.
Brazile, speaking before a forum for DNC chair candidates in Detroit, said if confirmed, Gorsuch would occupy the "stolen Supreme Court seat," referring to Senate Republicans last year blocking a confirmation hearing for President Barack Obama's nominee, Judge Merrick Garland, reports the Washington Examiner.
Like Brazile, several Democratic lawmakers have also called the open seat stolen, after Republicans determined that the seat should not be filled until the winner of the November general election was determined.
Americans are "hungrier than ever" for Democratic ideas and plans, Brazile also said at the forum, being held throughout the day Saturday.
