A right-leaning political action committee is pushing back on gun control via a new ad campaign in the wake of last Wednesday's high school shooting massacre in Florida.

The Great America PAC published an ad Thursday, a similar version of which will air on cable news networks next week.

The 30-second digital spot features gun rights advocate Antonia Okafor talking about the left's gun control agenda, saying she won't let Democrats "take our guns."

The Florida shooting resulted in 17 deaths — including 14 children — and has injected new life into the national gun control debate.

"I'm here to let you know I'm not going to let them take our guns. Liberals and the biased media never miss an opportunity to exploit a tragedy to push their anti-gun agenda," Okafor said.

"We've seen it all week with the horrific school shooting in Florida, but here's the thing they refuse to admit: they know gun control isn't going to stop bad guys from doing bad things. The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy, or girl, with a gun."

The ad is part of the super PAC's initial five-figure spend aimed at protecting Americans' Second Amendment rights.

The organization launched a website as well, DefendSchools.com, to continue lobbying its agenda.
