President Donald Trump took several shots at the Democrats running to challenge him in November's election during a speech Saturday afternoon.
Trump spoke at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Maryland, a short distance from Washington, D.C. He used the opportunity to poke fun at former Vice President Joe Biden, former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and others.
He mocked Biden's verbal gaffes, for example, which include naming the wrong state he was campaigning in. Biden, Trump said, could not be "easier to beat."
Regarding Bloomberg, who was once a friend of Trump's, the president focused on his height — a point he has hit on in the past. Trump crouched down low at the lectern in a reference to who he calls "Mini Mike" and then said, "Get me off this stage!" as the audience cheered.
Trump's comments came at the same time voters in South Carolina were at the polls for the state's primary. The president told the crowd of conservatives that any of his left-leaning challengers would be bad for America if they are elected to succeed him.
"They want to take away your money, take away your choice, take away your speech, take away your guns, take away your religion, take away your history, take away your future and take away, ultimately, your freedom," Trump said. "But we will never let them do that."
