David Perdue: Ga. Senate Campaign Will Focus on Obama's Failures

Georgia's Republican candidate for the Senate David Perdue said the focus of his campaign will be the failed policies of the administration of President Barack Obama and the conservative alternatives Republicans have to offer.

"We've got a crisis on our hands. The people of Georgia know that, and they want something done about it," Perdue told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday. "We'll be able to talk about the failed policies of this administration and talk about smaller government, lower taxes, and how to get this economy going again."

Perdue, a former Dollar General Corp. chief executive officer, defeated Georgia Rep. Jack Kingston on Tuesday in the Republican primary runoff. He will now face Democratic challenger Michelle Nunn in November.

Perdue said the people in Georgia are "very upset about the performance in Washington right now." He said he intends to "prosecute that failed record."

One of the failed policies that will be front and center in the fall election is Obamacare, Perdue said, adding Republicans need to "bring an alternative to the table."

"This is a failed law. It's insidious. It's really holding our small businesses back," Perdue said.
