The Democratic National Committee is mobilizing a "war room" comprised of former Hillary Clinton staffers to push back on President-elect Donald Trump at every turn, The Washington Post reported.
This new team might have a short shelf life; election for the new party chair is coming in February, but the Post reported interim chair Donna Brazile said Dems couldn't afford to wait that long.
The guerrilla political warfare-type team is expected to battle Trump on Cabinet picks, early policy decisions as well as continue to beat the drum on alleged Russian influence of the elections, the Post reported.
Longtime operative John Neffinger, head of the Franklin Forum, has been hired as interim communications director and he will oversee the group's efforts, the Post reported. The Franklin Forum is a newly formed communications organization that provides media training and support for liberal candidates.
Neffinger will be joined by two erstwhile Clinton staffers and another DNC veteran.
