California's two Democratic senators, Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein, expressed "disappointment" following the vote clearing the way to end the government shutdown, CNN reports.
Harris claimed she doesn't believe Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., made any commitment to Democrats.
"Listen, I'm disappointed with a conversation that suggests a false choice, you either fund the government or you take care of these DACA kids," Harris said. "We can do both."
"I don't believe he made any commitment whatsoever and I think it would be foolhardy to believe he made a commitment," Harris said.
As Feinstein left the Senate chamber, she also said she was "disappointed."
CNN reported a Democratic source maintained progressive senators are unhappy with the deal to end the shutdown.
The Senate voted 81 to 18 to end debate. The vote clears the way for a temporary funding plan through Feb. 8, according to Bloomberg.
