The GOP memo detailing alleged Obama administration abuses of FISA warrants to surveil the Trump campaign and its aides is currently being vetted by the Department of Justice, the FBI, National Security Agency, and the Director of National Intelligence, CBS News reported Tuesday.

The review of the classified House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., memo is being conducted before President Donald Trump decides on its release to the public with redacted portions protecting U.S. "methods and sources."

The National Security Council and the White House will "jointly" issue a recommendation Wednesday to Trump on whether to release, which would not happen before Thursday and might take a "full five days" to decide, CBS reported.

Republicans on the House Intel Committee voted along party lines Monday to release to the public under "Rule X," barring a presidential objection.

The memo reportedly provides evidence which presents "legitimate questions" of violations of civil liberties and potential FBI political "malfeasance," according to House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis.

The memo also includes allegations the FBI used the unsubstantiated, unverified dossier to obtain a court-issued FISA warrant to surveil President Trump's campaign and his transition aides, without explaining how British intelligence agent Christopher Steele's document was produced and funded — reportedly by the Democratic National Committee by permission of political opponent Hillary Clinton.

President Trump has the memo, but had yet to read it, according to CBS' report.
