A key condition to the $1 billion fundraising agreements Donald Trump struck with the RNC was not to reimburse himself, CNN reported.

With three of the party's top money guys behind him — Ron Weiser, Ray Washburne, Elliott Broidy — Trump has coalesced at least the fundraising and organization side of his campaign. Weiser, for one, had previously helped finance anti-Trump groups, CNN reported.

But it took Trump's assurance that he would not use any new monies to help pay off the $36 million he lent to his primary campaign.

"I have absolutely no intention of paying myself back," Trump said in a statement Wednesday. "This money is a contribution made in order to 'Make America Great Again,'" CNN reported.
