Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush doesn't look like he wants to be running for president, said one of his possible competitors for the Republican nomination, Donald Trump.
"I think he's a reluctant warrior," the billionaire real estate developer said Wednesday on Fox News Channel's
"The Kelly File."
"I don't know why he's running. He looks unhappy. He looks like he just doesn't want to be there."
Neither Bush nor Trump have officially declared their candidacies.
Trump said he watched Kelly's interview with Bush in which he botched a question on whether he would have approved the 2003 invasion of Iraq "knowing what we know now" — that there were no weapons of mass destruction.
Bush said he would have invaded, though he later said he thought the question was whether he would have done so with the information available at the time.
"The question couldn't have been easier," Trump said.
Trump added that there is no reason to ask him the question, as other candidates have been, because he is on record having opposed the war as far back as 2004.
Iraq and Iran were equal in terms of power and were constantly fighting each other and keeping each other in check, Trump said.
"We decapitated Iraq, and now Iran is taking over the entire Middle East," he said.
Trump handed out equal blame for the rise of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq to President George W. Bush for invading in the first place and to President Barack Obama for pulling out all the troops.
"The war should have never happened," he said. "Once it did happen, you should have left the troops in. It's really a double fault."
