Real estate tycoon Donald Trump says he's got some big plans for the nation if he would ever become president, and one of those plans would be a massive, Trump-style wall at the Mexican border to keep illegals out of the country.

Over the weekend, at the Iowa Freedom Summit, and again on Fox & Friends Monday morning,  the mogul and reality star touted his own building prowess when it comes to building his wall.

"People are pouring across our borders, which is horrible," Trump said. "We have to build a wall. ... Look, I build some of the greatest buildings in the world. Building a wall for me is easy. And it would be a wall. It would be a real wall. Not a wall that people walk over."

He made similar comments during his speech Saturday to the approximately 1,300 people who crowded in for the summit, sponsored by Iowa Rep. Steve King, which attracted numerous potential GOP candidates to make their pitches.

On Saturday, Trump told the audience, drawing applause, that "we have to build a fence ... it has to be a beauty. I build nice fences. Fences are easy."

He told the audience that on television he saw a video of people walking across the border while "the military is holding guns and people are walking right in front [of them]."

The way the border is being secured is "incompetent," Trump continued, saying it's not just harmless people who are able to come through.

"We have people who are crooks," he maintained. "You could have terrorists. You can have Islamic terrorists. You can have anything coming across the border. We don't do anything about it. If I run and when, I would start by building a powerful border again."

Trump has often said he'd like to run for president, but has yet to officially campaign for the White House. However, in his speech Saturday and an interview the day before, he maintained he could have beaten President Barack Obama's re-election bid in 2012, further showing his intentions that he's "very, very seriously" considering a bid in 2016, as he told "Fox and Friends" during his Monday visit, and he has big plans if he wins.
