Trump Lauds Rasmussen's 51 Percent Approval Rating

By    |   Tuesday, 17 April 2018 03:24 PM EDT

President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised the 51 percent approval rating in the latest Rasmussen Reports poll — "despite the fake news media" — and called it was "one of the three most accurate on Election Day."

He slammed the CNN and ABC News-Washington Post surveys as "just about the most inaccurate" before declaring "much of the media is a scam" in the tweet.

In Monday's daily presidential tracking poll, Trump had a 51 percent approval rating, versus 48 percent disapproval.

On Election Night 2016, Rasmussen was the second-most-accurate pollster in predicting Electoral College results, according to rankings posted the following month by Real Clear Politics.
