Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said if she is re-elected to the Senate in the 2018 midterm election, then she plans to serve out her full six-year term and not run for president.

"Yes, that's my plan. I'm running for the Senate in 2018… I'm not running for president of the United States," Warren told reporters Thursday, Politico reported.

Warren made her comments during a moderated town hall event at the Boston Teachers Union, the report said.

State Rep. Geoff Diehl, one of her three Republican opponents, had critiqued Warren, saying she was more focused on a presidential run than "doing her job," Politico reported.

In recent polling, Warren showed a 30-point lead over her competitors.
