Former Attorney General Eric Holder said any attempt by congressional Republicans to remove special counsel Robert Mueller "will not be tolerated."

His comments came in the form of tweet posted Thursday:

The Hill reported some congressional conservatives have tried to discredit Mueller's ability to lead an unbiased probe into Russia's interference in the presidential election. It noted FBI agent Peter Strzok was removed from the investigation because he reportedly sent text messages critical of President Donald Trump during the campaign.
