Eric Trump Wednesday said his father did an "amazing job" with his first State of the Union address, while accusing Democrats of being "worried" about his success.
"You're looking at all the Democrats, I mean, they're worried, I mean they're worried that everything that he said he would do he's done," Trump told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo.
Most Democrats sat throughout President Donald Trump's first speech, booing during parts of it, while Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., walked out.
But Eric Trump, however, told Bartiromo that his father was "in such a good mood."
"We spent time before, we spent time after, I was obviously honored to be there, but he did such an amazing job," he said. "It was positive, it was on tune, it focused on America, the things that we actually care about as citizens, putting America first again, he hit it out of the park."
Trump told Bartiromo that the economy is "far better off" than anyone could have imagined, "as 401(k)s are through the roof. Jobs are coming back to this country. Companies are investing in this country again, I mean all the things that matter for this prosperity of this nation."
However, Democrats are lacking direction, Trump said.
"They don't have leaders, they don't have a message, they certainly wouldn't have had the same result and they're worried as you look around that room," he said.
Also appearing on Fox News' "Fox & Friends," Trump said the Democrats' reactions to the speech were "awkward."
"I remember one great moment, talking about Apple bringing $350 billion back in the country. $350 billion," he said. "Not a single Democrat stood up. Who can't, who wouldn't want Apple to bring $350 billion back into the country and no one stood? "
Democrats wouldn't even stand when the president referred to God, he pointed out, questioning how united they really want to be.
"Honestly, I think they're scared, they're really, really scared," he said.
