The race between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden in Florida is tight, with a new poll giving Biden a slim lead.
Results from the Mason-Dixon survey, according to The Hill:
- Biden has 50% support among registered voters, compared to 46% support for Trump. The 4-point difference is equal to the margin of error.
- Party-wise, each candidate has 87% support within their own party.
- Biden leads Trump among independents (9 percentage points), women (10 points), Black voters (82 points), and Hispanics (17 points).
- Trump is ahead of Biden among men (2 points) and whites (17 points).
- Biden has the overwhelming support of young voters, leading Trump by roughly 40 points among voters under age 35 and by 9 points among voters in the 35 to 49 age bracket.
- Trump holds an advantage among voters who are between 50 and 64 (5 points) and 65 and older (9 points).
- Biden has a 45% favorability rating, while Trump's is at 41%.
RealClearPolitics gives Biden a 7.2-point lead in Florida, not including the new Mason-Dixon survey.
The survey was conducted July 20-23 among 625 registered voters in Florida. The margin of error is 4 percentage points.
