President Donald Trump on Friday declined to say if he would consider pardoning former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who recently pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.
"I don't want to talk about pardons for Michael Flynn yet," he told reporters after leaving the White House, according to CNN. We'll see what happens, let's see."
Flynn has agreed to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
Trump added: "I can say this, when you look at what's going on with the FBI and the Justice Department, people are very, very angry.”
The president did not respond to a reporter’s question asking at what point Trump knew Flynn had made false statements to federal investigators about discussing sanctions with the Russian ambassador to the U.S., according to Fox News.
