President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen four points since it was last measured by Gallup last week.

The poll was taken just after Trump’s rally in Texas with Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. Prior to the president's appearance there, Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed by Saudi officials in the Saudi consulate in Turkey, a series of mail bombs were sent to prominent Trump critics, and 11 people were killed in a mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

  • 40 percent approve
  • 54 percent disapprove

Last week, Trump’s ratings were:

  • 44 percent approve
  • 50 percent disapprove

RealClearPolitics shows that Trump’s average job approval sits at 44 percent, while his disapproval ratings sits at about 52 percent. Gallup polls 1,500 adults across the country every week, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.
