George Conway, attorney and husband to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, on Wednesday slammed first lady Melania Trump over her criticism of a legal expert mentioning her son during testimony as part of House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

Melania Trump tweeted that “a minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics” after Pamela Karlan invoked Barron’s name during an exchange with Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, when she was asked to compare the fears of the framers of the US Constitution to President Trump's behavior.

"Contrary to what President Trump has said, Article 2 does not give him the power to do anything he wants, and I'll just give you one example that shows you the difference between him and a king, which is the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the president can name his son Barron, he can't make him a baron," Karlan told lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee.

Melania Trump tweeted: “Pamela Karlan you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it,” she tweeted Wednesday evening.”

Conway responded: “So therefore you’re amplifying what was a nothingburger reference a hundred-thousand-fold. Got it.”
