Rudy Giuliani said Sunday he’s got no concerns “at all” about what’s contained in the full report of special counsel Robert Mueller.
In an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” the president’s personal lawyer said he had full confidence in the summary of conclusions by Attorney General William Barr and his deputy, Rod Rosenstein.
“I'm not worried about the report at all,” Giuliani said. “There is no way those two good lawyers would have written that kind” of summary if “there is any issue.”
“The attorney general has said he's going to put out the maximum amount of information possible,” Giuliani said. “The only thing that will stop him will be legal barriers. I hope there are few.”
Giuliani lashed out at remarks by House Judiciary Committee chair Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., as “innuendo” that “there must be more... We're not going before a court here, we're going before a political body,” he said of the committee.
He also accused Democrats of non-stop hounding of Trump in “a total political endeavor.”
“[Former Trump lawyer Michael] Cohen has already spilled his guts,” Giuliani said. “He has nothing at all incriminating on the president. Here is the disappointing thing for Jerry Nadler and all the Democrats — the president did nothing wrong. They are chasing him, harassing him. This is a total political endeavor now.
“If we put out that whole report or almost all of it and it clears the president, they should not be continuing this investigation. It's a political witch hunt,” Giuliani declared.
Giuliani argued even alleged Trump-haters on the Mueller team couldn’t find collusion by the Trump campaign with Russia.
“If they couldn't find anything, believe me, there was nothing there,” he said. “And they tried [to] make things up. They put so much pressure on people.”
