Rudolph Giuliani says Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton was "the worst secretary of state" the nation has had "in a hundred years."
In an interview with
London's Independent newspaper, the former New York City mayor and onetime presidential candidate, said:
"If I was Hillary Clinton I would never have given a speech on foreign policy at all. She was the worst secretary of state in a hundred years.
"Her record as secretary of state was abysmal. She let the Middle East fall apart, for instance."
Giuliani,
who has endorsed presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, added that Clinton's criticism on Thursday of the billionaire real-estate tycoon's foreign policy agenda "wasn't a speech on foreign policy. It was a speech attacking Donald Trump."
Giuliani's remarks came as he attended a black-tie bash at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx.
