A round table discussion at Trump Tower Wednesday centered on terrorism and how Donald Trump would take on the issue if he becomes president.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was at the meeting and told Fox News Wednesday evening Trump listened to some of his closest advisors about what to do.

"I would say the most important point was the one that he made and that virtually everyone there agreed with, which is that we have to be on offense against Islamic terrorism that we haven't put ourselves in the position under Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and John Kerry," said Giuliani, who sat two seats to Trump's right.

"We have put ourselves to being in a position on defense. All we are doing, basically, is a few very restricted kinds of military actions. And sitting around and waiting for the next attack."

Giuliani said the meeting went on for two additional hours after Trump left to attend his first intelligence briefing, which took place in a New York City FBI building. Ret. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was at both meetings,  and ABC News reported New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie attended the intelligence briefing.

Giuliani said the war on terrorism includes proper intelligence gathering — and then keeping that information a secret.

"This war against them and their war against us is beginning to become and I predict four or five years from now is going to start becoming a cyber war," Giuliani said. "We should start getting ready for that now. We are obviously not.

"This is obviously not an administration that is particularly good at guarding secret information. Of course, we have a candidate for president who exposed national security information on a scale that is unprecedented. And a political party that doesn't seem to know how to protect itself."
