A Libertarian-leaning Republican senator has joined in the growing campaign against Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore, who is facing allegations of sexual misconduct with an underage girl 38 years ago.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, announced via Twitter he has pulled his endorsement of Moore, who has claimed Friday "these allegations are completely false."

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., followed Sen. Lee's lead, retweeting the above and following up with his own announcement one minute later Friday evening.

The senators join a chorus of Republicans denouncing Moore amid the allegations, including Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz.; potential Utah Senate candidate Mitt RomneyRep. Barbara Comstock, R-Va.; Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y.; and even President Donald Trump, who himself faced allegations of sexual misconduct amid his campaign in 2016.

Despite the allegations and calls to resign, Moore has rejected both and is still listed as being in a virtual tie in the Alabama Senate race against Democrat Doug Jones, according to the latest Opinion Savvy poll, which was conducted after the Moore report came out Thursday in The Washington Post.
