Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., says Joe Biden “deserves” to have his nominees for Cabinet posts confirmed by the Senate if the former vice president wins his bid for the White House.
Graham, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, made his comments on Friday, according to The Hill.
“I ran on two things, that I will be a reliable vote to stop the most radical agenda being pushed by (Speaker) Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and others in the history of the United States,” said Graham who won reelection on Tuesday. “I also talked about openly in my campaign at all the debates about [how] I have reached across the aisle and will continue to do so.
“When it comes to finding common ground, I will do that. The vice president deserves a cabinet. I will give him my input about who I could vote for as secretary of state, attorney general.”
And he added: “There may be some people that I just can’t vote for because I think they’re unqualified or too extreme.”
He also vowed to oppose the Green New Deal, packing the Supreme Court, and Medicare for All.
But Graham said he was not conceding that Biden was going to end up the winner in the White House contest.
On Thursday, Graham vowed to "stand with" President Donald Trump. He had announced that he was donating $500,000 to Trump's legal defense fund.
